CUET UG 2027 Exam Pattern: Questions, Duration and Marking
The CUET UG 2027 exam pattern is not out yet. For now, the 2026 NTA bulletin is the latest official reference. Use it to practise provisionally, and recheck the next bulletin before finalising your strategy.
What was the CUET UG 2026 pattern?
The latest published bulletin described a computer-based test with objective multiple-choice questions. It listed 50 compulsory questions and 60 minutes for each test paper, with five marks for a correct answer and a deduction of one mark for an incorrect answer. An unattempted question receives no marks under the stated marking scheme. That makes the 2026 maximum 250 marks per paper, but the 2027 bulletin will control the next exam.

How should you practise using this reference?
Use a timer for one subject paper and review both wrong answers and guesses. Keep a small error log with three fields: the topic, why the answer went wrong, and what you will do before trying it again. This helps you distinguish a knowledge gap from rushing or misreading.
For a five-paper plan, avoid scheduling five full papers every day. Rotate subjects, set a realistic weekly target, and reserve time to revise concepts. Use official syllabus documents to decide what each practice session covers, then try our free CUET mock tests for timed practice.
Does the 2026 pattern guarantee the 2027 pattern?
No. A previous bulletin is useful for preparation, not a promise. NTA can change subject lists, question counts, time limits or the way scores are calculated. Once the 2027 information bulletin appears, replace this provisional table with its official figures. Check the exam portal and notices rather than relying on screenshots or forwarded messages.
When papers are held in multiple shifts, the bulletin may also explain how NTA compiles scores. Read the score section carefully; a raw number from one paper should not automatically be compared with another paper or another year.
