DU Admission After CUET UG 2027: CSAS, Preferences and Next Steps

Planning for Delhi University after CUET UG 2027? Do not stop after the exam or scorecard. DU runs its own admission and seat-allocation process, and the 2027 instructions are not released yet.

For 2027 applicants: DU has not published its 2027 undergraduate CSAS schedule or programme bulletin yet. The steps below explain the 2026 process as a reference; follow the next official DU notice for the cycle you apply to.

Does a CUET score automatically give you a DU seat?

No. CUET is the entrance examination, but Delhi University admissions include a separate university process. DU’s 2026 FAQ told applicants to complete the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG) form and fill programme and college preferences. Admission depends on the applicable eligibility criteria, scores, preferences, seats and allocation rules for that cycle.

What should you do after CUET?

  1. Download and review your NTA scorecard when it is announced.
  2. Open DU’s official undergraduate admission portal and read the current Bulletin of Information and CSAS notice.
  3. Register separately for CSAS if instructed; appearing in CUET is not a substitute for this step.
  4. Check programme-specific subject combinations, eligibility and any required documents.
  5. Research colleges and arrange your programme-college preferences thoughtfully.
  6. Monitor allocation rounds, accept or upgrade an offer as permitted, and complete document verification and fee steps within each deadline.

How to prepare preferences

Make a shortlist based on the programme, curriculum, location, commute, fees and your own priorities. Check the official course eligibility and seat-allocation information instead of selecting colleges solely by a previous-year cutoff screenshot. Historical closing scores may provide context, but they are not a promise of a future allocation.

Use the official DU portal for deadlines, preference editing and allocation instructions. Keep certificates and identity documents ready, and check whether a category certificate must meet a particular validity or issuing-authority rule. The required documents can differ by category and year.
